The Amazon Fire HD 8 is one of the most popular budget tablets. The screen is small at 8 inches and features 1280 by 800 pixels which is ok considering the price range. It is at least bright and colorful and will be a great option for watching movies or reading.

Battery life stands out with up to 13 hours of continuous use which is better than most premium tablets. The RAM is good enough to avoid lags. Unfortunately, the processor is a bit weak and might not be able to handle complex tasks.

The 2022 Amazon Fire HD 8 stands out from its family line of tablets as it is approximately 30% faster than its earlier versions.

Just like other Amazon Fire HD tablets, this tablet will work well with Amazon products such as Alexa. One downside to this however is that the tablet will have compatibility issues with some google play applications limiting your user experience.

Storage is low at 32 and 64 GB but is expandable using an external Micro SD card to 1 TB which is more than enough for saving large files.

The front and back cameras have an equal 2-megapixel camera which is unusual because most tablets feature a better rear than a front camera. Overall the cameras are weak.

Pros

  • Very Affordable Price
  • Long battery life at 13 hours
  • Compatible with Alexa
  • Colorful screen

Cons

  • Slow performance
  • Limited Applications

Lenovo Tab M8 is very similar to the Amazon Fire HD 8 with an equal 8-inch screen and 1280 by 800 pixels screen size and resolution. The Lenovo Tab M8 has a better, more premium-look screen with thin bezels.

RAM and storage are similar at 2 GB RAM and 32 GB expandable memory. You however will not have a 64 GB option. Head to head the Lenovo and Amazon Fire HD 8 matchup but Lenovo takes the day with its premium look and better compatibility with Google Play apps.

Amazon Fire HD 8 is far much cheaper compared to Lenovo so you can not totally rule it out. Lenovo Cameras are better with a similar front 2 MP camera but 5MP rear camera for the Lenovo Tab M8. Lenovo is slightly better but both have poor cameras overall.

Lenovo Tab M7 is an older version of the Tan M8. It is a cheaper alternative but features some reduced features and performance functionality. What is important to note is that it is more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8  but features less powerful features.

This budget-friendly Android tablet features a 7-inch IPS screen size with a low 1024 x 600 pixels resolution.

Apart from the display, it is powered by an older  MediaTek A22 Quad-Core processor and has 2 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Battery life is shorter at 8 hours but good enough only 2 hours less than the iPad Pro 12.9 inch which is one of the best tablets ever made so far. It is however unfair to compare these 2 tablets.

Just like the Amazon Fire HD 8, it has a 2-megapixel rear and front camera which is not the best. The device runs on Android 11 better than Lenovo Tab M8’s Android Pie 9. Overall its features are not the best and can generally be used for entertainment, writing, or browsing.
