If you need a tablet for Photography, this tablet offers a good 13 MP Main and 6MP ultra-wide camera for photos and videos. For online conferencing meetings and selfies, it has a 12 MP front Webcam.

Processing power is emphasized just like other new Samsung tablets. I noticed zero lags even when testing with drawing and gaming applications. 

This is made possible largely because of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU processor and 8 GB or 12 GB RAM options. You will also get a free Samsung S Pen on purchase which is industry standard especially for digital artists.

The slim and sleek metallic design is both durable and appealing to hold and use. Unfortunately, the orientation of the screen that lacks a widescreen 16:10 ratio may limit most professional users.

Additionally, if you want a tablet to listen to your music, it is important to note that this one lacks an audio headphone jack.

The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro is another large tablet from the lenovo line with a large 13 inch screen size. It features 1600×2560 pixels resolution to complete the great display.

If you need a tablet for videography and general photography, this camera is a good pick. 

It comes with a 13 MP and 5 MP rear camera. For the front you have 8 MP and 8 MP which is slightly lower but still decent for its price range. The front camera has a Time of Flight 3D sensor and can be used for AR.

Processing power will not be a problem when you buy this tablet. It comes with a powerful Snapdragon 870 and up to 8 GB RAM for quick processing and seamless multitasking.

The storage space comes in at Up to 256 GB which is ok if you do not have too large file sizes to save. Finally, 8 to 10 hours of battery life is ok for a full working day.

Overall, this is a great tablet that comes close to dethrone Samsung S8 tablets line but falls short on many occasions. For example, On purchase you will get a free stylus pen but it is not as good as Samsung S Pen.

If you are looking for a cheaper but slightly smaller  screen, the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus is a good pick from the same professional brand.

The Lenovo Tab M10 Plus tablet is very fairly priced considering its features. First it has a 10.3 inch screen with 1920 x 1200 Pixels Full HD Resolution. 

Full HD resolution on a 10 inch screen is a perfect balance to view your work in crisp and clear display.

A 2.3 GHZ Octa-Core processor combined with 4 GB RAM will allow for fast processing and easy multi tasking. 

Unfortunately, 2 and 4 GB RAM options are both low for many professional tasks. It would be better if they had an 8 GB option for professional work.

Another downside is the low 64 GB and 128 GB storage space which is too small to save your files and at the same time install software. 

You can however expand the memory up to 2 TB using the MicroSD slot. This is great but will cost you a little extra.

Amazon Fire HD 10 – Largest Android Tablet from Amazon

A 10 inch tablet is ok but too small for most users, especially if you need it for streaming movies or professional work. The Largest Tablet from Amazon comes in at this size with a good 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, but small 10.1 inch screen size.

It is not very compatible with Google Play Store applications but works perfectly with Amazon products such as Alexa. The sound system is decent for its price but the cameras are outright low quality at 2 MP for both front and rear.

The specifications indicate 11 to 13 hours battery life but on testing in full brightness it went for 8 hours which is decent. 

For the storage space you only have 32 and 64 GB options which are low. Luckily, you will have a micro SD slot that allows you to expand the memory to 512 GB.

The processor and RAM are ok for basic tasks with 2 GB RAM and a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor.

Overall, this is an Ok tablet if you intend to use it for basic tasks such as reading or as a tablet for watching movies. However, if you want a heavy lifting tablet, I recommend the iPad and Samsung varieties.

Samsung Galaxy View – Biggest Android tablet

If you are looking for one of the largest Android tablets, the Samsung Galaxy View is a good choice.

It has a large 18 inch screen with Full 1080 pixels resolution, that is 1920 x 1080 pixels. Unfortunately, most of the good things about this tablet stop at the screen.

First it has a weak octa Core Processor at 1.6 GHz and only comes in 2 GB RAM. It will be perfect for simple tasks such as watching movies or streaming videos but will be overpowered by complex tasks such as gaming or drawing.

Storage space is also small at 32 and 64 GB only and expandable to 128 GB which is still wanting. If you however just need a tablet for Netflix streaming and do not need to save files on it you are good.

You will watch movies and videos for up to 8 hours without having to connect to a power source on full charge. 

Overall it is a good size for professional tasks like art but is limited by its features and specs. If you however know How to use an Android Tablet as a drawing tablet connected to your PC, this would work well. 

Otherwise it is mostly good for streaming and watching videos.

Just like many iPad models before it however, this tablet is expensive and not budget friendly. Additionally, you will have to buy the Apple Pencil separately adding to its overall cost.

Processing power is fast and reliable thanks to the Intel Core Series 12th Gen combined with up to 32 GB RAM.

This is a premium tablet and you get up to 1 TB of storage space for saving your files and installing applications. Because of this much power and strong display, the tablet has a lower battery life compared to the Samsung Galaxy S9 Ultra but is still good at 6 to 7 hours.

After you fold it to a 12 inch size, the 1.3 kg overall weight is manageable and you can carry it from place to place.

How to choose a large Android tablet

There are a number of key factors you can consider to ensure that you land on the perfect tablet. However the main one that you can not ignore is the purpose you want to use the tablet.

For example, if you want a tablet for drawing, you need a tablet with a good stylus pen and screen. If you need a tablet for photography, you need one with a good camera. 

In addition to these specific aspects, there are some general features that you should have in mind. Here are the most important.

The screen size and resolution is a key factor to consider. You need a tablet with a large and comfortable screen for your needs. Additionally, Full HD resolution and above is recommended for the best user experience.

For processing power and multitasking, you need a modern processor or CPU and large RAM. For basic tasks such as streaming or watching movies, 2 GB RAM is ok.

However if you will be using your tablet for complex tasks, 6 GB and above is recommended.

Storage space is another important thing to have in mind. It is where you will install applications and save files. If your ideal tablet seems to have low space, confirm whether it is expandable using a MicroSD slot.
